Gina is a highly accomplished music executive, entrepreneur, educator, and musician with nearly 30 years of experience in the music industry. She is the owner of Waters Edge Entertainment, a full service music consulting firm, Prior to her current roles, she spent 20 years at MNRK Music Group, shaping the careers of artists across multiple genres, including Country, R&B, Gospel, Classical, and Americana.

In addition to her executive work, she holds leadership positions in several key industry organizations. She is the Board Chair of The Music Business Association, Secretary of The Recording Academy, Co-Founder and Vice President of Nashville Music Equality, and an elected Commissioner on the Nashville Music, Film, and Entertainment Commission. She also serves on advisory boards for the University of Tennessee’s Women in Leadership Program, Music Makes Us, and the Americana Music Association.

Her contributions to the music industry and community have earned her numerous accolades, including the 2024 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Biden, the 2024 National Museum of African American Music Honors, the 2023 Presidential Award for Outstanding Executive Achievement from The Music Business Association, and recognition in Billboard’s Women in Music Most Powerful Executives (2020 & 2018). She is also a 2022 Leadership Music alum and a 2021 Nashville Business Journal’s Women of Influence honoree.

Beyond her industry work, she is a dedicated corporate leadership coach, consultant, speaker, and artist manager. A proud Belmont University alum and University of Tennessee supporter, she has called Nashville home for nearly 30 years, raising her two sons while continuing to advocate for equity, leadership, and excellence in the music industry. Originally from Memphis, TN, she remains deeply connected to her roots and passionate about the future of music.
